Construction Materials

The correct use and application of a multitude of different materials is a determining factor in construction project quality. The quality of construction products is usually deemed self-evident, but it can also be demonstrated by manufacturers via a product certificate. To support the certification process, Kiwa works closely with a number of (internationally accredited) laboratories that can perform a wide range of tests.
In addition, the correct fitting, the assembly and use of construction materials are important in achieving the required quality. In this respect, a process certificate supports the quality assurance of the materials used.

Kiwa has extensive expertise in the area of independently monitoring the quality and use of materials such as timber, concrete, steel, glass, roofing, cladding units, insulation, plastic, asphalt and ceramic products.
Kiwa is also a designated Notified Body for a large number of construction products and can assist clients in correctly interpreting the increasingly complex European construction regulations (including, for example, CE marking).
